360-degree video tour of North Korea gets you inside its isolated capital

North Korea is a bizarre place, cut off from the rest of the world under its dictatorship. Only about 2,500 foreigners reportedly visit the country every year.

Heck, most people don't want to visit North Korea because it's such a strange place. Thanks to 360-degree cameras and VR headsets, you can now see what life is like in the capital city of Pyongyang from the comfort and safety of your own home.

Using a GoPro Hero 4 Black modified with a replacement 280-degree lens, photographer Aram Pan shot this hour-long, 360-degree video that gives you a glimpse of North Korean living. You can find more 360, and regular, videos of North Korea on his YouTube channel playlist.

You can view the 360 video using any VR headset such as Google Cardboard or the Gear VR or just watch in your web browser and use your mouse to change the point of the view.
