Converse intros Chuck Taylors with Bluetooth guitar pedal inside

The Chuck Taylor from Converse has always been popular with rock stars. Now, embedded technology has made the sneaker even more useful to musicians.

The Converse All Wah literally puts a guitar wah-wah pedal in your shoes, allowing you to twist your guitar's sound with no need to precisely place your foot on a bulky, sometimes unstable external guitar pedal.

The sneaker works by connecting to a traditional wah-wah box via Bluetooth and can be used in a normal music set-up, connected to an amp (the shoes have a standard Guitar jack on the side), or through a digital device, such as a Mac or an iPhone.

All that, and they also recharge wirelessly (although that feature isn't demonstrated in this video).

Developed in collaboration with London-based fashion house CuteCircuit, the hidden wearable tech was recently tested by Dinosaur Jr.'s J Mascis, who seemed pleased with the results.

No plans have been announced to release the All Wahs to the public, but if they drum up enough excitement, you just might be wearing them to band practice sometime soon.
